The promise Aiden had made when he was younger was actually to Waltz in hopes that they could cure Mia.ĭetermined to save his daughter, Waltz wants to run new tests in X13. She is Waltz's daughter, but Aiden isn't related to them. As Aiden prepares to fight Waltz, it's revealed that Mia isn't his sister. Mia is confined to a hospital bed where Waltz is trying to cure the virus she's suffering from, but it appears she doesn't have much time left.
Finally, Aiden finds Waltz and Mia, a missing girl in Dying Light 2 with a tragic backstory.

The group gets separated and Aiden continues through X13, only to discover that this was the place where he and Mia were experimented on along with seemingly dozens of other children.Īs Aiden is uncovering more of his past, Lawan finds the missile hanger and begins to try and figure out how to stop them from launching. After a disagreement with some of the Renegades, Hakon is attacked and Lawan goes to his defense as Aiden fights the other attackers. As they progress through the facility, Aiden may encounter Hakon, who has been working with Waltz and the Renegades. They find a massive warehouse of supplies, stashed by the GRE years prior - probably enough to sustain those living in the city. He enters the facility, joined by Lawan, who escaped from the water facility. Depending on choices made throughout the story of Dying Light 2, a different character may confront Aiden during this moment. Aiden is forced to kill Jack Matt and a group of peacekeepers before traveling by foot to X13. If you're this early in the story, you might want to consult our primer on the two major Dying Light 2 Factions, as you'll need to side with one or the other on multiple occasions. That's how you get past that pesky "Meet The People Of The Bazaar" quest objective in Dying Light 2's early game. Again, these particular quests aren't required to be completed they're just handily nearby quests that you can finish up quickly in order to advance the game time to the point where Hakon contacts you again. This is another small side-quest that won't take you long to complete at all.Īfter you've completed these quests, you should immediately get a call from Hakon which progresses the "The Only Way Out" quest to the next objective. He tasks you with finding Marco, Julian's supplier, and getting to the bottom of the poisoned water issue. Speak to him and you'll hear that he has seemingly accidentally sold poisoned water to a fellow Bazaarian. Julian is waiting for you just past the bar area to the right.
#Dying light 2 main character upgrade#
It backfires, but serves as a nice little introduction to the world of weapon mods, which you can use to upgrade your best weapons. Speak to him and you'll trigger a very quick side-quest called "The Spark Of Invention", which tasks you with scavenging some basic materials (which you'll likely have on your person at this stage anyway), then helping him show off his new electric fence invention. The first quest-giver you'll find is Carlos, who is leaning against a wooden beam to your right as you enter the Bazaar. They can be any side-quests you find, although there are two quest-giving characters staying at the Bazaar who you should seek out and speak to if you want to progress as quickly as possible. The answer is simple: to get past the "Meet The People Of The Bazaar" objective, you need to complete a couple of side-quests. However, you'll soon find that even if you speak to everyone you can, the quest doesn't progress. Abraham - talks to you when you interact with the missing persons wall outside the Bazaar entrance.Ahab - the man leaning against the side of the merchant's shop.Julian - the vendor on the right past the bar.Urban - the bartender on the right, just past Carlos.Carlos - to your right as you enter the Bazaar.
